Ottawa –Greenfield Avenue between King Edward Avenue and the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp will be closed from 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 13. The area will also experience some overnight lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22. The closures will occur to begin the process of replacing the Mann Avenue Transitway Bridge as part of O-Train Confederation Line project.
The closures on Wednesday, October 12, to Thursday, October 13 will encompass both the street and the sidewalks and will affect motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Anyone travelling on Lees Avenue, Mann Avenue and King Edward Avenue will not be able to access Greenfield Avenue. Signed detours will be in place. Those looking to access the Highway 417 westbound on-ramp on Greenfield are advised to take Laurier Avenue West to the Nicholas Street on-ramp. Vehicles travelling westbound on Greenfield Avenue will still be able to access the Highway 417 westbound on-ramp.
The closures on Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22 will include one lane closure at a time, and will only affect motorists.
