The front entrance of a marijuana dispensary near Hunt Club and Merivale roads was demolished Thursday night.
It appears as if a vehicle drove into the front entrance of the dispensary, said Bill Carroll, owner of The Hobby Centre store next door to the dispensary. The stone front of the building, the glass and the entrance door were destroyed. The ATM machine located just inside the front door was damaged.
The illegal dispensary opened several week ago in the small strip mall on Roydon Place, across the street from Costco. The store, which sold dried weed and cannabis-laced cookies, candy and pop, was a cash-only operation. It’s one of seven in Ottawa that are all connected, operating under the names CannaGreen, Green Tree and Wee Medical. The cannabis products are from B.C.
The staff person at the CannaGreen dispensary on Roydon had refused in the past to comment or identify the owners and managers. Emails and a phone message left with CannaGreen were not returned.
More to come.

Bystanders take pictures and check out the damage to the CannaGreen marijuana dispensary on Roydon Place in Ottawa after a vehicle drove through the front window of the business overnight. Friday October 14, 2016.
