Paramedics say that a woman was in critical condition Friday afternoon after she was one of two people stabbed in broad daylight outside the Salvation Army in the Byward Market.
There was no sign of an assailant on the scene as tactical paramedics and police responded to the call at 4:36 p.m. on George Street.
A woman in her late 20s was stabbed in the back and in critical condition as she was transported to the trauma centre. A man, 32, with a stab wound to the chest was in serious condition.
Ottawa Police are investigating.
