André Marin has a byelection hamburger, and he's pretty excited about it

André Marin has a beef.

A beef patty, that is. Plus a side of poutine.

We knew Marin’s entrance into politics would be interesting, given his bombastic style during his tenure as the province’s ombudsman. Yet he’s still managed to surprise us.

Marin, who’s running for the PCs to unseat the Liberals in the Ottawa-Vanier byelection, unveiled on Wednesday a delightfully bizarre campaign promotion: a burger-and-poutine platter at the Vanier Grill, a diner in the riding.

It’s available until Nov. 17, voting day.

And he launched it in classic Marin fashion, with a multi-part Twitter promotion that described it as “bold, spicy and full of flavour.”
