A 59-year-old motorcyclist was in critical condition following a collision with a car at the intersection of Eagleson and Fernbank roads at 5:35 p.m. Sunday.
The man who had been riding the motorcycle was “found in cardiac arrest on the scene and despite aggressive life saving procedures by paramedics, remained in cardiac arrest when transferred to hospital staff,” an Ottawa Paramedic Service news release stated.
The 47-year-old man who was driving the car was found with some chest discomfort, and was also taken to hospital in stable condition.
Eagleson was closed in both directions from Cope Drive southbound to Bridgetone Drive northbound.
Fernbank was closed eastbound from Templeford.
Ottawa police are investigating.
