The easiest way is to use Windows Media Player. Normally at 192Kbps you should not be able to hear the difference between the CD and wma.
Another way is still Nero: you can install Nero ImageDrive which will create a virtual CD-ROM, then use Nero to create an image of the CD you want to copy, then launch the image file with Nero ImageDrive. You can also burn the image to CD later. Althou Nero ImageDrive only simulates one CD-ROM, you can install Daemon Tools to get up to four CD-ROMs.
BTW, you can install and use Nero even if you do not have CD writer on your notebook.
