A 38-year-old man was brought to hospital after he was stabbed on Besserer Street near the Ottawa Mission around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Ottawa police Sgt. John Gibbons said.
The victim was transported to the trauma centre after suffering a stab wound to one of his legs, Ottawa paramedics superintendent Matthew Galarneau said.
The man was “in moderate distress, conscious and alert,” when he arrived at the hospital, Galarneau said.

“It’s an active investigation,” Gibbons said.
