A 49-year-old Val-des-Monts man was to appear in Gatineau court Thursday on charges of sexual assault on two young girls.
Gatineau police say the man allegedly committed a number of attacks over a “long period” on the girls, who were eight to 12 years old and 12 to 17 years old at the time of the assaults.
Investigators would not reveal when the assaults were alleged to have taken place, but said the girls, whose identities were not released, were the daughters of a family friend.
The man will be charged with sexual contact, luring and sex assault.
