Ottawa police arrested four people Thursday night after an investigation into a rash of swarmings and attacks in an area near Heatherington Park in Ottawa’s south end.
Police dispatched multiple officers, including K-9 unit teams, after reports of at least three swarmings in which victims claimed they had personal property stolen from them.
At around 8:15 p.m., police arrested four people near the intersection of Albion and Heatherington roads. The four, three young offenders and one adult male, remain in police custody.
Police are also investigating whether the four were involved in similar violent acts reported in the area earlier this week.
Identities of the four are not being released. They are scheduled to appear in an Ottawa courtroom Friday.
