One person is dead and three are seriously injured after a sleepy driver caused a four-car collision Friday evening on Highway 148 in Pontiac, Que.
According to MRC de Collines de l’Outaouais, the incident occurred after a driver in a vehicle travelling eastbound fell asleep, and the car drifted into oncoming traffic.
Two of the vehicles rolled over in the crash, which happened around 7 p.m. near Hammond Road. One car also caught fire.
Both directions of 148 were closed at Hammond Road Friday evening.
