Ottawa police were investigating two unrelated stabbings that sent two young men to hospital Friday and Saturday morning.

The first occurred just after 10 p.m. on Friday at a party in the 200 block of Coleford Place, near St. Laurent and Montreal Road.

Police said a man in his early 20s was stabbed after he went outside with his girlfriend, and a verbal dispute began with an unknown male. The injured man was not cooperating with police. He has not been identified.

The suspect in that incident is described as a black man in his 20s, about5’8″, wearing a black hoodies, black pants, and black shoes with white laces.

The other stabbing occurred on the street at 2 a.m. in the Breezehill Avenue N. and Somerset Street W. area. Then, a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the chest. He remained in hospital Saturday morning.

Both men suffered injures that were not deemed life-threatening, and were in stable condition Saturday morning.

No suspects were in custody, police said.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5212.
