安省电费自2003年涨了3倍。结果呢？你和你的家人每年多付1000加元。更糟糕的是不管安省人民怎么请求降价，11月1日起渥太华电费还要涨。
因此Karma Macgregor决定参加2018年安大略省议会选举，代表安大略省进步保守党角逐Ottawa West-Nepean选区的省议员席位。
13年自由党治下，安省内部已经撕裂。13年了，够了，安省需要变革，Karma有经验有能力引领这个变革。她在渥太华工作生活了30多年。30年来，她倡导社区安全和社会稳定。她曾多次帮助进步保守党胜选。
作为加中议会协会的前任主席Plett参议员的幕僚长，Karma帮助Plett参议员推动中华文化的传播，促进加中经济文化人文交流，让更多的加拿大人了解中华文化，让加中两国人民都受益。华裔参议员胡子修也大力支持她参选。

Household electricity rates in Ontario have tripled since 2003. The outcome? You and your family pay $1,000 more every year. What’s worse is that Ontarians have been begging for relief on soaring hydro rates for years, yet the people of Ottawa will be subject to yet another rate increase on November 1st.
That is why Karma Macgregor is seeking the Ontario PC Party nomination for Ottawa West-Nepean. After 13 years of McGuinty-Wynne rule, Ontario is in disarray and something needs to be done.
It’s time for change in Ontario, and Karma has the experience and knowledge to help generate that change in Ottawa West-Nepean.
For 30 years, she has worked with small business owners and families, advocating for safer communities and economic and social equality. Karma worked as a political organizer for both the Ontario PC Party and CPC where candidates won elections in dozens of ridings under her leadership. Outside politics, Karma has remained dedicated to issues near and dear to her heart, such as working diligently in the fight against cancer and her work with at-risk youth. However, Karma would consider her three incredible children to be her proudest accomplishment.
Karma now works as Chief of Staff to the Honourable Don Plett, who is heavily engaged with the Chinese community in Canada. As Co-Chair of the Canada-China Legislative Association, Senator Plett helps promote Chinese culture in Canada; something Karma considers very important for the inclusive and tolerant fabric of Ontario. She also considers Canada’s relationship with China to be among the most important of Canada’s foreign partnerships, both in terms of trade and people-to-people ties. Karma has received strong support and endorsements from her long time friend Senator Victor Oh, the founding chairman of the Canada-China Business Communication Council and Senator Plett.
When it comes to Kathleen Wynne’s negligent mismanagement of the energy sector, for Karma, enough is enough. Increasing hydro costs are forcing Ontario families and seniors to choose between heating their homes and putting food on the table. This is also creating an uncompetitive environment for businesses to create new jobs.
The 8% rebate the Liberals announced last month will do almost nothing to relieve inflated prices. The Ontario Energy Board has said that nearly 60% of customers will not achieve any significant benefits from this rebate.
We simply can’t afford another four years of Kathleen Wynne. The Wynne Government has shown us time after time that their priority is not the well-being of Ontario families. We are in the midst of an energy crisis, and the Wynne Government seems more concerned about securing lucrative energy contracts for their friends rather than reducing the financial burden for Ontarians.
Ontarians have had enough. It’s time we put an end to the Wynne Government’s reckless spending and irresponsible policies. It’s time that your government worked for you, not against you.
Karma has dedicated her career to championing others through her volunteer initiatives and her devotion to public service, and now she is prepared to devote herself to the people of Ottawa West-Nepean.
