The raven returns.
Some time between Sunday night and Monday morning, an imposing sculpture of a raven landed back at artist Christopher Griffin’s downtown studio, where it had been stolen a week ago.
“In perfect shape, although someone thoughtfully added an eye with a Sharpie marker,” Griffin reported Monday.
It was likely no impulse grab — the sculpture is almost a metre tall, weighs about 60 pounds and was chained down outside the studio at Kent Street and Gladstone Avenue.
The artist, whose work can be seen around the city, is convinced publicity led to its return.
