Hog’s Back Road swing bridge closed Wednesday

Ottawa – On Wednesday, November 23, the Hog’s Back swing bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for preventative maintenance.


Traffic will be detoured to Heron Road or Hunt Club Road and traffic on Colonel By is encouraged to exit well in advance of Hog’s Back. Hog’s Back Bridge will also be closed to cyclists and pedestrians.

• City of Ottawa Traffic Report – outlining citywide road closures, traffic restrictions and detours

• Interactive traffic map – showing construction areas and live traffic cams throughout the city
• Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) cameras along Highway 417
• Cycling maps and information – detailing bicycle pathways and lanes throughout the city
