Christmas came early at city hall on Saturday afternoon.
A large crowd turned out, bringing non-perishable food donations for the Ottawa Food Bank with them, for the 16th annual Mayor’s Christmas Celebration.
Santa and his elves were in attendance, taking a break from last-minute toy-making and route mapping, and activities included skating on the Sens Rink of Dreams and horse-drawn wagon rides.
And no one went hungry, either, with hot chocolate, BeaverTails, roasted marshmellows and maple taffy being served.
