A east-end city councillor is warning Pineview residents that a coyote has “sadly” killed a neighbourhood pet Friday morning.
Beacon Hill-Cyrville Coun. Tim Tierney tweeted that residents should be on the lookout.
Police said that they responded to the call of a coyote in the neighbourhood at 6:47 a.m.
Officers checked the area but didn’t find the animal.
It was last spotted on Cedarcroft Crescent and seemed to be headed towards the highway, Const. Marc Soucy said.
The area is near where Highway 417 and Regional Road 174 split.
