An investigation continues into a single-car crash Thursday on a secondary road near Elizabethtown-Kitley Township, about 120 kilometres south of Ottawa, that claimed the life of an 86-year-old man.
Police said the crash occurred at about noon when a westbound car left its lane on County Road 8 and struck a metal guard rail.
Police said James Washer, of nearby Athens Township, was declared dead at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
