Police are investigating a shooting overnight Monday near the intersection of Merivale Road and Meadowlands Drive.
An adult male was “grazed” by gunfire but refused medical attention and is not cooperating with investigators, police said.
They were called to the first block of Chesterton Drive at about 2:30 a.m. Monday by reports of gunfire. They found evidence of shots fired – including at the door of a residential unit on the street, which is a mix of single family homes, row houses and apartments.
It’s the 66th shooting in 2016, a record-shattering year.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (613) 236-1222 and an operator will direct the call.
