'Big smiles' for the Anderson family, as Nicholle says her tumour has started to shrink

Sens goalie Craig Anderson has been in and out of the lineup to be by the side of his wife, Nicholle, as she undergoes chemotherapy and radiation treatments for a rare throat cancer at a New York hospital .

Today, Nichole shared some great news: “Big smiles for the Anderson family, the tumor has responded to treatment,” she tweeted.

“I am really excited to share this news today,” she says in the post. “My tumor has responded positively in the right direction.”

She included a CT scan image that shows the tumour has started to diminish.
