A Manotick woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a vehicle while walking along a main street Friday evening.
Police said the woman, whose identity has not been released, was sent to hospital with serious injuries after the collision at 6:20 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Bridge Street and Van Vliet Road in Manotick.
Collision investigators are expected to be on scene for several hours, and police are redirecting traffic around the intersection, which will remain closed for at least several hours Friday night.
Police have not released the woman’s name or age.
Police said they expect to provide an update later Friday.
