Snowfall warning in effect for:
A significant snowfall is underway as a Colorado low treks towards Southern Ontario. Periods of snow will continue today and tonight, before tapering off towards Sunday morning. Snowfall totals of 15 to 20 centimetres are expected by the time it winds down early Sunday morning. There is also a risk of freezing rain in the Ottawa valley tonight into the overnight period.
Deteriorating winter travel conditions can be expected with snow-covered roads and reduced visibility in falling snow.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
