Anxious to try out the new shovel and winter wiper blades you just bought?
Your wait is over, as Ottawa is in for a couple of mini-snowstorms over the next few days, beginning with between seven and 10 cm of snow expected Thursday, starting at about 8 a.m. and falling steadily until about 8 p.m.
The downfall will be accompanied by rising temperatures likely to hit -1 C late in the afternoon and hold there throughout most of the evening.
The morning rush-hour seemed slowish but no major problems. The afternoon ride may be more problematic.
A few more flurries are expected to briefly return early Friday morning, with the sun expected to put in only a cursory “how-do-you-do” mid-Friday afternoon.
