Ottawa paramedics took a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision at a busy Orléans intersection on Friday evening.
The injured were later said to be in stable condition.
One person was unconscious and had to be extricated by paramedics after the crash at Trim and Innes roads just after 7 p.m.
Ottawa police closed Trim Road southbound at Valin Street and Innes Road westbound from Trim Road.
