Ottawa Citizen有报道,这个after prom party不是学校或教育局组织的,组织这个活动的公司(PromNight.ca)也很神秘, “Repeated attempts to reach the event organizers, PromNight.ca, were not successful.” 这个公司只管赚钱,连名字,地址都没有。

In at least one case involving Colonel By Secondary School, a notice was sent home to parents to alert them that the prom after-party is not sanctioned by the school and will not be attended by parent representatives or other official chaperones. However, the Colonel By note made no mention of the fact that the event would feature a cash bar.
“This is NOT a school-sanctioned event, and school staff will NOT be present during the evening. An external event company has assisted student organizers,” said Colonel By Secondary School principal Jean Fulton-Hale in a note to parents. “Details of the event are being shared through the school to ensure that all graduates and their families have accurate information.
“We encourage families to have conversations regarding the safe enjoyment of Prom events and for parents/guardians to know their graduate’s plan for the evening. June is an exciting time for our students as they step forward into their journey as young adults. Please encourage your son/daughter to plan responsibly.”
