Firefighters put out a fire at a Kars bungalow Sunday morning after a passing motorist spotted smoke.
They were called at 9:35 a.m. and arrived to find smoke “pouring” out of the front entrance.
The fire, which appears to have started in the basement of 5597 William McEwen Dr., was under control by 10 a.m.

The owners were not at home at the time.
The cause and damages were not known Sunday morning.
