Paramedics used defibrillation equipment to revive a man who had gone into cardiac arrest after a single car crash in the west end Tuesday night.
The crash occurred at Meadowlands Drive and Grant Carman Drive just after midnight, and responders found a 45-year-old man unconscious and in cardiac arrest.
Police were able to remove the man from the vehicle and initiated CPR until paramedics arrived.
Once they restored the victim’s pulse, the man was taken to hospital. He was deemed to be in critical condition upon arrival.
The crash is under investigation.
