A 55-year-old woman was hospitalized after she was rescued from her overturned van in the west end Thursday night.
The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on the westbound 417 near Highway 7, close to Stittsville.
Ottawa Fire Services were called to extricate the driver.
Paramedics treated the woman for head and spinal injuries and transported her to hospital.
She was described as in serious but stable condition on arrival at hospital.
