The City is planning for the new Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres (OEYCFCs) and we need your help.
In 2018, all child and family programs funded by the Ontario Government will become part of a unified system of services and supports for children, from newborn to six years of age, and their families. These will be called Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres (OEYCFCs).
Examples of the types of services you will find at these centres would be playgroups, information workshops for parents, and referrals to specialized services.
The City wants community partners, parents, grandparents and caregivers to take part in the planning for the OEYCFCs in Ottawa. You can help by providing your ideas, experiences and feedback at an upcoming public consultation being held at locations across the city in February. Spaces are limited so please register early!
Can’t attend a consultation? Share your thoughts by filling out an online survey that will be available in February.
