[ZT] Ottawa Table Tennis Club: Opening Ceremony, Feb. 18, 2017

Ottawa (February 13, 2016) — The former training centre for Canada’s national table tennis team, located at 18 Louisa Street, will reopen on February 18, 2017 as the home of the Ottawa Table Tennis Club. A detailed news release will be available at the event.

Date and time: Saturday, February 18, 2017
Doors open at 1:00 p.m.; ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
Location: Ottawa Table Tennis Club
18 Louisa Street, Unit 240, Ottawa, ON K1R 6Y6

Special guests expected to be on hand at the official opening ceremony will be Adham Sharara, Chairman and Honourary President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), Jim Watson, Mayor of Ottawa, Yasir Naqvi, MPP, Ottawa Centre, and Catherine McKenna, MP, Ottawa Centre.

A special skills exhibition will follow the official opening featuring, among others, Canadian champion Filip Ilijevski and former North American champion Xavier Thérien.

The Ottawa Table Tennis Club is Ottawa’s only full-time table tennis club, offering practice times, personal and group training, day programs, after-school programs and a Saturday Master Class series.
