Could you tell me why you decide to buy a single new home rather than a single resale home? I want to buy a house now. But I am not sure to go with a new or resale one. Thanks!

I prefer resale one because of following reasons:
1. More choice in different location.
2. Do not pay GST on price.
3. Mature community environment.
4. More property available in the market.
5. Do not need to worry about the postpone of closing date. Most new home builder will postpone their closing date.

I want to buy an apartment.I know very few people buy an apartment.I still think about it because:
a. I only have one boy and no plan to have another one.I don't think we need big house to live for our three people.
b.I hate winter.I hate shoving snow for the garden in winter.Both our couple hate housework just like gardening,cleaning, etc.
c.I like apartment which has bacolny.
d.My salary is not high and no money to buy a big house.But my job is very stable so I'm planning to buy a house.I pay &1,000 a month for my rental and I think it's more expensive than to buy a house.

Is any body can give me any suggestion? I know some good apartments are very expensive.
