Scope
You will perform preshelving duties, shelve materials, shelf-read and shift collections as directed. You will also be required to maintain tidiness in public areas, handle materials and perform minor circulation support duties.
Statement of Qualifications
Grade 9 or equivalent
Completion of health and safety training required by legislation and by the Corporation of the City of Ottawa
Competencies/Skills
Effective interpersonal communication
Basic knowledge of filing procedures
Strong commitment to customer service
Knowledge of:
Working knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation
General knowledge of corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety
Language
Oral fluency, reading and writing ability in English.
