It’s a mess out there.
Walkways, sidewalks and smaller streets are just slippery enough to slow things down this morning.
A freezing rain warning (maybe this winter’s last?) is in effect.
The good news is that the freezing rain wasn’t quite as bad as some expected. Rain, lots of it, will soon wash a lot of the leftover snow and ice away.
Today’s high is expected to get up to about 5 C.
The wet weather will take a bit of a break this afternoon but come back as drizzle in the evening.
Fog patches are also expected so take it slow on the drive home.
Tonight and tomorrow will see more rain.
The rest of the week will be a mixed bag: 4-5 days of warm, sunny weather but – and this is a big but – Friday could see a substantial downpour mixed with a few cm of the white stuff.
The weekend, however, looks beautiful.
