A woman is in critical condition and two other people were seriously injured in a crash Wednesday on the Airport Parkway.
Ottawa Fire Services responded to the call shortly after 9 a.m. on the Parkway between Walkley and Brookfield roads.
Police reported that one of the car’s airbags had deployed and trapped a person in one of the vehicles.
Firefighters used spreaders and cutters to remove side doors and free the driver.
Paramedics said a woman in her 20s suffered a head injury and multiple fractures and remains in critical condition, a man, 28, was treated for a critical head injury and a second man, 55, was treated for abdominal and other injuries, and was in serious but stable condition at hospital.
The Parkway was closed for some time between Hunt Club and Walkley roads for the investigation.
