Gatineau police are seeking public assistance in finding the owner of a truck with snow-clearing gear on the front that may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Lac-des-Fées Parkway Mar.1 6.
The vehicle was filmed on Hull’s St-Jean-Bosco Street at about 6:15 p.m., Mar. 16.
About two hours later a 71-year-old woman was killed when she was struck and dragged several metres while walking her adult tricycle along the parkway, a few kilometres from Saint-Jean-Bosco.
The truck is has chromed mirrors, a yellow emergency light on the roof and a metal shield on the rear window. There was no truckbed cover and the picture shows gear in the bed of the pickup.
Police are asking the truck driver, or anyone else with information on the case to call the investigators at 819-243-INFO (4636), option 5.
