A 10-week shutdown of Queen Street between Bank and O’Connor streets begins Monday, April 10.

The closure will allow crews to make sidewalk and roadway improvements as part of the construction of the Confederation Line LRT project. The road will be closed to vehicles and cyclists, although local traffic will still be allowed to provide access to parking garages.

Pedestrians will be able to use the north side of the Queen. Detour signs and flag people will be in place to guide traffic.

OC Transpo routes 9 and 12 will be diverted north on Kent Street to Wellington Street. The bus detour will remain in place until the fall.

Queen Street is already closed between Lyon and Kent streets and that closure will continue, although Queen will be open between Kent and Bank streets.
