Quebec provincial police are investigating two deaths in Notre Dame-Du-Laus after a man turned himself into the Gatineau detachment early Monday morning.
The man told police to check a residence in Notre Dame-Du-Laus, about 100 kilometres northeast of Ottawa, where police found the bodies of two women, said Sgt. Marc Tessier.
Police are on the scene on Chemin De Val Ombreuse, he said.
The 60-year-old man turned himself into police at 2:40 a.m. The two victims were known to the man, said Tessier.
Notre Dame-Du-Laus is a rural area, rife with lakes and summer cottages, about a 90-minute drive from Ottawa. Chemin De Val Ombreuse winds by three lakes: Lac de Pins, Lac Fogeron and Lac Wells.
