Ontario Provincial Police will be on special alert this long Easter weekend in a campaign emphasizing seatbelt compliance, distracted driving, impaired driving and speeding,
The campaign will start early Friday morning and will end Monday night.
The OPP police reminds drivers and passengers that everyone travelling in a motor vehicle must properly wear a seatbelt. Drivers are responsible for ensuring all passengers under the age of 16 are properly secured in either a seat belt or a child care seat.
Failing to comply with this could result in a $240 fine and two demerit points.
