A 33-year-old man was in stable condition in hospital after paramedics and firefighters responded to a working fire call at a house on Shillington Avenue on Saturday night.
Firefighters received multiple 911 calls reporting flames from an upper story window at 1216 Shillington Ave. at around 10:30 p.m.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service Communications Centre received the call a few minutes before 11 p.m.
A news release said a 33-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital, where he was reported in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation and no estimate of damage was available.
