Ontario Provincial Police are appealing to the public for more information about a head-on collision between a car and transport truck on Tuesday, near North Stormont Township.
Just before noon, a 27-year-old Ottawa man was driving south on Highway 138, when he crossed over into the north lane and collided with a transport truck, the OPP said in a release Wednesday.
The driver of the truck, a 37-year-old male from Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que., was not injured, while the Ottawa man was in hospital with “serious non-life threatening injuries,” the OPP said. Neither vehicle was carrying other passengers at the time.
The OPP are looking into the reasons why the car swerved into oncoming traffic, and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
Anyone who would like to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 where the OPP said you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
