The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a heavy crane tipped over while at work near the Light Rail Transit tunnel close to the intersection of Laurier Avenue and Waller Street on Wednesday.
No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
No one from the ministry was available for immediate comment on the incident.
The incident is only the latest issue to face workers who are busily trying to keep the LRT project on track for a 2018 opening. Several complaints have been made by workers on the project in recent months who complain about the tight quarters underground, poor sanitation and issues with debris littering the work site underground.
