Ottawa police are investigating the city’s second homicide of the year after a man was found stabbed and bleeding outside a pharmacy in Vanier Thursday afternoon.
Police received a 911 call around 3:20 p.m. When first responders arrived, the man, believed to be in his 20s, was found without vital signs and bleeding out front of Jean Coutu pharmacy at 262 Montreal Rd. He was taken to the trauma centre, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have closed Montreal Road between Marier Avenue and Begin Street, and have also closed Begin Street from Montreal Road to Levis Avenue in Vanier as they continue to investigate.
