Quotes

“I am very pleased to be able to recognize so many generous and compassionate people. I always come away from these ceremonies inspired by the level of passion, knowledge and dedication among volunteers. One way to create a more caring nation is by celebrating those who volunteer, by honouring them loudly and proudly.”

Her Excellency Sharon Johnston

“Volunteerism is a key to everything we do in the city. The support, talent and time that volunteers provide allow for hundreds of incredible festivals, fundraisers, City programs and initiatives to take place. Volunteers enrich our lives and have incredibly positive impacts on our communities. Their spirit helps make Ottawa the amazing city that it is.”

Mayor Jim Watson
