National capital drivers looking to get to the other side of the Ottawa River will have to plan ahead this weekend.
The Alexandra Bridge, which crosses the river between the Museum of History in Gatineau and Nepean Point in Ottawa, is closed to auto traffic until 5 a.m. Monday. Pedestrians and cyclists can still cross.
The Chaudières Bridge, which crosses between the War Museum and over Chaudieres Island, will be closed in alternating directions as of 8 p.m.
Traffic lights will signal the operative lanes until 5 a.m. Monday.
The Champlain, Portage and Macdonald-Cartier bridges are not affected.
