The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the Patrouille de France air demonstration team have delayed a joint flyby over Parliament Hill due to rain.
The flyby was originally scheduled for Monday, but will now take place Tuesday at 10:45 a.m.
The single flyby should present a unique photo opportunity as the teams will fly west to east in a 17-ship formation. The Snowbirds team will fly nine CT-114 Tutor aircraft and the Patrouille de France will fly eight Alpha jets. Two aircraft equipped with cameras will accompany the formation for a total of 19 planes.
The aircraft will fly at an altitude no lower than 500 feet (152 metres) above the highest point of their route before resuming a higher flying altitude for their transit to Montreal.
