The City of Ottawa is in emergency operations. This means the Emergency Operations Centre has been stood up and services across the City are enacting their emergency plans.
Emergency services have been deployed to the affected areas.
It is important to note that residents’ ability to secure financial assistance from the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians Program does not depend on having a State of Emergency in place. There are no financial advantages to declaring a State of Emergency.
The City will continue to provide updates on Ottawa.ca and Twitter.
Flooding prevention tips, including basement flooding, are available on the City of Ottawa website.
