Ottawa firefighters responded to a pair of 911 calls within 30 minutes about people on the swollen Ottawa River.
The first call came in at 4:49 p.m. about two people floating on a board near Lemieux Island. Water rescue units were dispatched to 1 River St. and located two people safe and sound.
At 5:24 p.m., firefighters were again headed to the river, this time for an emergency call concerning two people on a Jet Ski, including one who was jumping off the back into the water.
Two people were located near the Chaudiere bridge; both were fine, and quickly left the area, Ottawa fire said.
