Those in the national capital region enjoyed a sunny long-weekend Saturday, with temperatures reaching a comfortable 18 C.

That was warm enough for a group of paddlers to hit the Ottawa River at Constance Bay.

If they want to get back out on the water on Sunday, they’ll likely have to do so early in the day. The forecast calls for a high of 19, but mainly cloudy skies and a 40-per-cent chance of showers late in the afternoon.

Things aren’t looking a whole lot better for the last day of the long weekend. The expected high on Monday is 17, with clouds and a 40-per-cent chance of showers.
