NEW THIS YEAR
Water stations
For the first time, you can take advantage of three roving water stations on the Ottawa parkways. This service is offered for the first time by PIPSC. Water stations were a popular request received by the NCC through public feedback and consultations.
Youth Entrepreneurship Program
In partnership with JA Ottawa, we are launching a youth entrepreneurship pilot program as part of NOKIA Sunday Bikedays. Interested children and youth, between the ages of 5 and 17, are invited to apply to operate a kiosk on select NCC parkways during NOKIA Sunday Bikedays.
The program includes a fun, hands-on educational workshop by JA Ottawa to introduce children and youth to the world of entrepreneurship, followed by an opportunity to set up a stand for three Sundays during the summer. The workshops will be organized for three different age groups: 5 to 8, 9 to 12 and 13 to17.
Volunteers
The NCC is still looking for volunteers who are available to help with monitoring traffic intersections. Please contact the Volunteer Centre at 613-239-5373 or volunteer_benevoles@ncc-ccn.ca.
The NCC is proud of its association with the following media partners of NOKIA Sunday Bikedays: Metro Ottawa, Le Droit, KISS FM, Rouge fm, CHEZ 106 and ÉNERGIE.
