Slap on your sunscreen today.

Tomorrow you’ll need to tote an umbrella — just watch it doesn’t blow inside-out.

Wednesday’s Environment Canada forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 23, feeling like 26 with the humidity and a UV index of 8, or very high. There’s a 30-per-cent chance of showers and low of 13 C.

On Thursday, expect periods of rain to begin in the morning with wind become east 30 km/h gusting to 50 by late morning and a high of 18 C. More rain is on tap overnight with a low of 12 C.

The traffic forecast, meanwhile, is full-on construction.

Two of particular note from the City of Ottawa Traffic Centre are periodic lane reductions Wednesday until 5 p.m. on on Hwy. 416 between Fallowfield and Rideau River roads for maintenance. Hwy. 417 eastbound is reduced to one lane between Anderson and Boundary Roads for construction until 2 p.m.

Man, the traffic around @Carleton_U is getting worse by the day. #otttraffic #yow https://t.co/S9ZSF249ts

Friday’s weather forecast is for cloudy with 40-per-cent chance of showers, a high of 18 C and low of 8 C.

Saturday brightens up with a mix of sun and cloud and high of 22 C.

For Sunday, it’s forecast grey skies again with a 30-per-cent chance of showers and high of 22.

Monday and Tuesday’s forecast is for — you guessed it — clouds and highs of 19 C and 20 C respectively.
