The Ottawa Police Service has charged a 31-year-old Ottawa man after a woman was allegedly choked and sexually assault in an attack May 15.
Police say the man went to an Ottawa apartment that day and caused serious injuries to the victim.
Police have charged Mohamed Barkhadle with attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault, forcible confinement, overcoming resistance by choking, uttering threats, breach of probation and failure to report as required.
He is scheduled to appear in an Ottawa court Friday.
